Integrating Behavioral Health into Pediatric Care, Part 1
Available On Demand: Webinar Recording and Slides
ABOUT
This webinar series will explore the critical integration of behavioral health into pediatric care, addressing the increasing prevalence of mental health issues among children and adolescents. Recent statistics reveal that up to 20 percent of children experience mental health disorders, emphasizing the urgent need for a holistic approach to pediatric health care. With the shortage of child and adolescent psychiatrists and therapists, addressing behavioral health in primary care is critical.
Part 1 will focus on participants learning about the landscape of pediatric behavioral health. The presenter will explore current statistics and trends related to pediatric mental health to provide insight into the prevalence and impact of behavioral health issues on children. Subsequently, the presenter will teach practical approaches for seamlessly integrating behavioral health
assessments and interventions into routine pediatric care, fostering a comprehensive and patient-centered health care model. This webinar aligns the Health Center Performance Improvement domain of Quality, Patient Care, and Safety as it reviews approaches to pediatric behavioral health care. This training will be in conjunction with Goodwin Medical Associates.
